About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain BIM models for structural projects using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
Interpret and incorporate structural design data, specifications, and project requirements into BIM models.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and coordinated BIM models.
Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for structural elements, including steel, concrete, and timber structures.
Conduct clash detection and resolve conflicts within the BIM environment.
Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including plans, sections, and details.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and company protocols.
Participate in project meetings and provide technical support to project teams.
Continuously update and maintain BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
Contribute to the development and implementation of BIM standards and best practices.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
3 years of experience in BIM modeling for structural projects.
Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and construction methods.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating and reviewing models and drawings.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of industry standards and codes related to structural design and BIM.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications in BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional).
Experience in working on large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with other BIM software and tools (e.g., Tekla, Bentley Systems).
Understanding of sustainable design practices and green building standards.
